SBI RTGS Form – RTGS And NEFT Charges 2024, Timing, Limit

What is RTGS? 

RTGS is the payment method and it stands for “Real-Time Gross Settlement”.  SBI RTGS allows you to transfer Rs. 2 lakhs and above at one time. The RTGS code is allotted to each payment which makes the work easier. 

The 3 aspects of RTGS transfer are: 

  • All the payments done using RTGS are made in real time. The process of the transfer is initiated without any delay. 
  • all the payments done using RTGS are done as gross payment, not the bundled.
  • RTGS is a one on one facility and cannot be revoked.

SBI RTGS transfer process 

To fill the SBI RTGS form, follow the instructions below: 

  1. It is advised to fill the form at the bank so that you can ask the representatives if you get stuck at any point. 
  2. Fill the date on the form.
  3. Now, fill the amount that you wish to transfer in words as well as in numbers. 
  4. Mention your account details. 
  5. Add cheque details such as serial number, date, etc. 
  6. Write the account number and IFSC code of the beneficiary account. 
  7. Sign the form with your registered signature with the bank.
  8. Now, submit it to the bank official to process the payments. 
  9. Also, make sure to sign the cheque and fill it correctly. 

RTGS transfer using SBI Net Banking 

SBI RTGS transfer is possible using the net banking, follow the steps below: 

  1. For SBI net banking and login using your ID and Password. 
  2. Under “Transaction, you will get an option for fund transfer.
  3. Press “RTGS”
  4. choose your bank account and the beneficiary account as well. You will get the details on the screen and enter the amount. 
  5. Fill in all the required details and press “submit”. Type the OTP to process the payment.

SBI RTGS Charges 

There are no charges applicable if you use the RTGS mode of payment transfer using SBI bank Banking. However, you need to pay some charges if you make the RTGS payment from the branch. The details of SBI RTGS charges are: 

RTGS Transaction Amount Bank charges
Rs. 2 Lakhs to 5 Lakhs Rs. 20.00 plus GST
Above Rs. 5 Lakhs Rs. 40.00 plus GST

SBI RTGS Timing

RTGS option is available 24/7 online for larger transactions, except 11:50 PM and 00:30 AM. However, there can be fixed timings at the bank if you wish to transfer offline. So, you need to call the bank and ask their timing for RTGS. 

SBI RTGS Limit

There are some limits set by RBI on RTGS Transfer as mentioned below:

Vyapaar – Rs. 50 Lakhs

Information for SBI NEFT Form Filling

SBI NEFT application is divided into two sections: You must fill out both:

  • Counterfoil (consumer Copy)
  • Bank Copy

Information should be completed in the SBI NEFT Form Counterfoil or Customer Copy

  • Name, account number, bank name, branch name, and IFSC of the beneficiary; branch name (applicant’s branch)
  • The amount that has to be moved
  • Name and account information (Yours)
  • Name of beneficiary, account number, IFSC, bank name, and branch

Information to be entered into the bank SBI NEFT Form copy

  • Name of SBI branch
  • Date The beneficiary’s name, account number, bank, branch, and IFSC The amount to be sent (both in words and numbers) + Fee (SBI NEFT costs)
  • The applicant’s signature (one giving the money)
