You should use ECS and NACH capabilities instead of regularly transferring money from your savings account to your home loan account. When you make a manual money transfer, the Bank may interpret it as a loan prepayment. As a result, you should inform the Bank before executing such a manual transfer only if there is an error in the automated EMI payment system. The steps to transfer money from your savings account to your home loan account are given below:

  • Log in to the SBI Net Banking portal using your User ID and Password.
  • Go to ‘Payments/Transfers’ and select ‘Funds Transfer.’
  • You will be able to see the list of SBI accounts.
  • Select Home Loan Account Number.
  • Next, enter the amount you want to transfer.
  • Select the purpose of sharing money from the drop-down menu.
  • Select the payment option for when you want to share the money.
  • Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • Verify all your entered details and click ‘Confirm’ to complete the process.
